FortivApp LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) built Fortiv as a free app. Fortiv is an offline, single-user app. Your personal data and workout content never leave your device. There is no backend server, no account, no advertising, and no third-party SDK. The only thing that leaves your device is a small, anonymous usage snapshot (see below) — we have no ability to see, collect, or share anything else you do in the app.

By using Fortiv, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information. We do collect a small amount of anonymous usage data, described below.

• We do not collect personal information.
• We do not require account creation.
• We do not use advertising or tracking of any kind.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or SDKs.
• All data you enter or import stays on your device, except the anonymous usage snapshot described below.

Anonymous usage statistics: to understand overall app engagement, Fortiv periodically uploads a small, anonymous usage snapshot to Apple CloudKit (Apple’s own cloud infrastructure — see Section 4).

• The snapshot is tied to a random, non-identifying installation ID generated on your device. It is not your Apple ID, name, email, or Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and we cannot connect it to your identity.
• It contains general counts and flags — app version and feature-engagement statistics such as workouts completed, exercises logged, and whether you have an active program.
• It does not contain your name, profile details (age, sex, height, weight, heart rate), workout content, or any HealthKit data.
• It is not used for advertising, not shared with any third party, and not used to track you across apps or websites.

To provide its features, Fortiv stores the following locally on your device in the app’s private database. This data is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:

• Profile information: age, sex, height, weight, resting heart rate, and training targets you enter or import.
• Workout and training data: programs, scheduled workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, and adherence history.
• Health data imported from Apple Health (HealthKit): with your explicit permission, the app can read data such as body mass, height, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, workouts, and date of birth. Date of birth is used only to calculate your age on-device; the app stores your age, not your birthday.

Deleting the app deletes all of this data.

2. Apple Health (HealthKit)

Fortiv integrates with Apple HealthKit:

• The app reads HealthKit data only after you grant permission in the iOS permission prompt, and only for the features you use.
• HealthKit data is processed and stored on your device only. It is never uploaded, synced, sold, or shared.
• We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than the app’s fitness features, consistent with Apple’s HealthKit guidelines.
• You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health on your device.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information — we never have it in the first place. The only data that leaves your device is the anonymous usage snapshot described in Section 1, sent solely to Apple CloudKit. We do not disclose it to service providers, advertisers, or anyone else.

4. Third-Party Services

Fortiv uses no third-party analytics providers, crash reporters, ad networks, or SDKs that collect data. The app uses Apple CloudKit — Apple’s own cloud database infrastructure, not a third-party service — solely to upload the anonymous usage snapshot described in Section 1. CloudKit is governed by Apple’s own privacy and security practices.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All app data lives on your device and is under your control:

• Data is retained on your device until you delete it.
• You can edit or clear individual values (e.g., profile fields) inside the app.
• Deleting Fortiv from your device permanently deletes all app data.

We retain nothing, because we receive nothing.

6. Data Security

Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security: iOS sandboxing, device encryption, and your passcode/Face ID/Touch ID. Because data never leaves your device, there is no transmission to secure and no server to breach.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or hold any personal data about you, rights such as access, correction, deletion, and portability are exercised directly on your device: your data is already in your hands, and deleting the app deletes everything.

For European Union Residents (GDPR): Fortiv does not collect or process personal data off-device beyond the anonymous, non-identifying usage snapshot described in Section 1, which is not linked to your identity. There is no data controller processing of personal data to object to, restrict, or request access to. If you have questions, contact us at support@fortiv.app, or lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.

For California Residents (CCPA): We do not collect, sell, or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. The anonymous usage snapshot described in Section 1 is not linked to your identity and is not personal information under the CCPA. There is nothing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA right.

8. Children's Privacy

Fortiv is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children. If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns, contact us at support@fortiv.app.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document and post the updated policy at this URL. Your continued use of Fortiv after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
